-School Public Safety Overview
-Child Abduction

Emergency Management Plan Development

SGA can develop an "all hazards" Emergency Management Plan that addresses the four phases of emergency management (mitigation, preparation, response & recovery).

These plans will help ensure an effective response to disasters as well as satisfy required elements as outlined by the Department of Education, Governor's Domestic Security Preparedness Task Force, FEMA, etc.

In addition to the plan elements identified above, the plan will address the client's response to emergency events identified as part of a site-specific hazard vulnerability analysis. An integral section of the plan will address the implementation of the National Incident Management System that will be established for the client. This system can be used to manage both emergency incidents and non- emergency events and will meet the federal requirements for future funding opportunities.

The SGA deliverable includes an organized, tabbed binder including both a hard copy and electonic version on CD with typical contents as follows:

-Emergency Management Plan Overview
-Introduction
-Incident Command
-Education & Training
-Emergency Management Exercises
-Emergency Response Plans
-Aircraft Down (Crash)
-Bomb Threat
-Child Abduction
-Active Shooter
-Nuclear/Biological/Chemical (NBC) Terrorism and Influenza
-Evacuation
-Fire Safety
-Uitilities Failure
-Lockdown

OSHA Compliant Evacuation Diagrams

SGA consultants will, first, physically assess the floor and facility and then design color-coded evacuation diagrams that will illustrate the following:

-Primary & Secondary Exits
-No Emergency Exits in Restrooms
-Exit Away From Rooms with Hazardous Materials
-No Emergency Exit signs for Narrow Passages
-Exit Signs Indicating the Nearest Emergency Exit
-Assembly Area

Tabletop Exercise

To assist the client with exercising their emergency management plan, SGA will assist with coordinating, planning and facilitating one tabletop exercise with local and county emergency management responders. This exercise will permit the client to measure the effectiveness of its plan response and make the necessary improvements to the Plan.

SGA will assist with:

-Identifying drill participants
-Preparing the drill scenario
-Providing copies of the scenario/materials to the drill participants
-Facilitating the drill
-Preparing drill critique/minutes
