Professional Background
Mr. DePontes has for twelve years served as a Project Manager for
the PMK Group and the Manager of Public Safety & Security for
Morristown Memorial Hospital (600-bed trauma center), The Rehabilitation
Institute of Morristown Memorial (RIMM), The Dialysis Center of
Northwest Jersey, 111 Madison Ambulatory Surgery Center and the
95 Madison Avenue Annex.
He has developed numerous safety, fire safety, security and emergency
management programs for a variety of industries including: Public
Schools (K-12), Colleges and Universities and Healthcare facilities.
He is the current Education Committee Chairman for the Morris
County Emergency Preparedness-Infrastructure Advisory Group.
In this capacity he assists in coordinating security and emergency
response procedures and protocols for schools (K-12) and Colleges/Universities
in Morris County.

Mr. Brudner is a twenty-five year, retired Captain with the Montclair
Police Department. In this capacity he has commanded several departments

/ 9-1-1 Central Dispatch; Research and Planning; Computer, Building,
Vehicle Maintenance and Security; Community Policing Bureau; Community
Response Team Crisis Unit Commander; Investigation Division, Detective
Bureau.

Van Dright

Professional Background
Sergeant Van Dright has been a Police Officer with the Hazlet Police
Department for the past sixteen years attaining the rank of Sergeant.
In this capacity he served as an Undercover Detective for the Bayshore
Task Force as well supervising several patrol officers within the
department’s Patrol Division. He is currently the AMBER Alert
Director for the Town of Hazlet, New Jersey.
He is presently a member of the National Center for Missing and
Exploited Children (NCMEC) Law Enforcement Investigation Team that
is designed to investigate high profile cases of child abduction
and sexual exploitation. In this capacity he reports directly to
the NCMEC’s New Jersey Project Alert Representative.
Sergeant Van Dright has developed several child abduction (Code
Adam) response plans and procedures for healthcare facilities and
County Park Police Departments as well as conducted over 100 lectures
to school systems and other parent groups on how to protect children
from abductors, sexual exploitation and on-line predators.
He has also designed training programs for parents on how to protect
their children from on-line predators and has been featured in a
2003 article by the Asbury Park Press for his commitment to protecting
children in the community.

David McCabe

Background
Dave has been a professional fire fighter for 16 years with the
Bloomfield Fire Department. During those 16 years he has been a
fire lieutenant for the last 4 years. He is a trained self-contained
breathing apparatus (SCBA) technician and he is fire pump and Ariel
ladder operations certified.
He has served four years as a Fire Safety Coordinator for The Mountainside
Hospital in Montclair, New Jersey and two years as Fire Safety Coordinator
for the General Hospital Center @ Passaic in Passaic, New Jersey.
He has received three special recognition awards for saving the
lives of trapped victims.
